St. Patrick’s Protein Balls

These St Patrick’s protein balls will go down a treat on Paddy’s day and will keep your legs dancing to the wee hours. Spirulina is a great source of amino acids and protein and brilliant for your immune system too.

These are an easy way to include it into your diet and they are seriously tasty too.

Ingredients (makes 10)

  • 4 Tablespoons of Coconut Oil, Melted
  • 2 Cups of Cashews
  • 2 Tablespoon of Spirulina (or Green powder of choice)
  • 2 Pinch of Sea Salt
  • 2 Tablespoon of Almond Butter
  • Desiccated/chopped Coconut

First put the cashews in the oven to roast at 220’C for about 3 minutes or until a golden brown colour. Then put them into a food processor and blend until you have a coarse flour, then pour in the spirulina and the salt and pulse to combine.

Pour in the melted coconut oil and the almond butter and blend until combined. Use your hands to roll the mixture into about 10 balls.

Scatter some desiccated/chopped coconut onto a flat surface and roll the balls to coat.

Enjoy and have a lovely Paddy’s day
